The Diamond Tour 2003

Reviews:

Bristol Hippodrome - 13th July

Quotes from the audience at the concerts:

What a fantastic concert at Folkestone on Sunday! I saw Judith at the Leas Cliff Hall in the 70s with The Hottest Band in Town and the years just rolled back.
Peggy

Saw Judith in Portsmouth concert last night. Fantastic evening, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Jane

Attended your concert at The Hawth, Crawley this week. Loved every minute of it, you and the accompanyists were in great form. The piano playing was a revelation - hurry up with ragtime disc!
David

Just to say congratulations on the Crawley Hawth Concert. An event I won't forget.
Sylvie

Her voice remains powerful, liquid gold and beautiful. Judith is so natural, so warm and friendly, I felt as if she had invited me personally into her sanctuary of inspiration and love. Judith has the ability to make us laugh, to make us shed a heartfelt tear, and to make us believe. Judith is geniune, and this is something very rare in many artists of today.

To hear your voice again, so rich and strong, to see you on stage was just such a wonderful experience. Thank you so much for you inspirational music and songs. We thank our good Lord for giving us someone as special as you to bring so much happiness into our lives. Looking around the auditorium last evening, (Crawley) I doubt if there was a dry eye among us when you gave such a beautiful rendition of your songs.
Yvonne and Paul

I had the great pleasure of seeing you live in Portsmouth just two days ago. Your music both with the Seekers and as a solo artist has inspired me throughout my life, the words are also a great source of inspiration to many others I know.
Rod

Please congratulate Judith on a wonderful evening at the Hawth on Tuesday. What value she gave us all. It was just like having an old friend round to your house to entertain you - she made the entire audience feel like well loved friends.
Toni

Thank you Judith. For a wonderful show at Folkstone, it made my dream, you are indeed a magical lady.
Alun

I just wanted Judith to know how much I enjoyed her show at the Lees Cliff in Folkestone......she seemed part of the audience......... Her voice is the best in the world and always moves me. She is so sincere and so wonderful and looks so delighted and almost surprised on stage at the applause from the audience. It will remain with me for the rest of my life.
Graham

Judiths voice is unbelievable. Thank you.
Jim

A truly fantastic concert (Crawley) with music and songs performed at their very best. We really didn't want the concert to end, but alas all shows have to. After the concert we met many old friends and one who is a sixty year old lady had (despite ill health) travelled by car from the South of France because she wanted to see you in concert one more time. When speaking to some other friends we asked them what they thought of your concert - "brilliant, wonderful, magical, pure joy and a wonderful artiste" - were their comments.
Roger and Irene

Thank you for the excellent performance last night at St David's Hall, Cardiff. A True voice of an Angel. A remarkable lady! Thank you.
John & André

In praise of Judith's special voice at tonight's Cardiff concert. Well done and Thank you.
John and Jane

I just wanted to thank you for the concert yesterday at Cardiff. I find your music so uplifting, I have been on a high all day today. The most moving moment, though, was when you sang to the tape of your late husband's playing. I thought that was so beautiful, and such a positive thing to do.
Sylvia

I saw Judith at Croydon on Wednesday and her voice was so pure and spiritual delivering the lyrics to the songs with feeling and superb intonation. I loved the Jazz Standards as well as her own pure original songs. I was definitely on a high that evening. Excellent delivery and superb diction. A faultless performance.
Jonathan

We have just enjoyed the lovely voice of Judith Durham at the Liverpool concert. How she can retain such clarity and power is amazing. We were mesmerised by her charm and voice.
Keith & Enid

The new album certainly grows on you and shows the versatility Judith has with that wonderful clear voice, "Coulda,Woulda, Shoulda" must be a clear favourite from the album.
Tommy

I know you will have enjoyed as I did two hours of pure magical entertainment last night at the Liverpool Philharmonic. She has added much to her solo performance and has a great presence which all too often was lost within The Seekers. She certainly looked at 59 the youngest person in the hall last night, the whole concert was very much a personal touch as though she had just dropped into your front room for a singalong.
Tom

Nice to see the (Liverpool) concert getting such well-deserved support on Thursday. Thought that much of the show appealed to one's 'sensitive side' and the last few songs very much so, which meant that once strong men had to venture red-eyed and snuffling into the night. I can see 'My Father's Last Words' being a funeral hit once it becomes better known.
Dave

I just had to write to say 'Thankyou'. I listened to Judith Durham for the first time last night at her concert at the Manchester Opera House. I have been through a rough time in my life and recently it all got on top of me and I could find no way at all to heal myself. Judith's concert last night, her voice, words and music are what I needed. I have never come away feeling like I did last night, with such hope back in my life.
Dylan

I saw Judith perform last night at the Manchester Opera House. My parents booked the tickets and if I am honest I did not know what to expect - I guess I was not 100% sure she was my kind of music (I am 26 in a couple of weeks!) What a shock I was in for.... amazing... from the first song through to the end of the 2 hours performance I was stunned. Judith Durham... such an amazing person and what a wonderful voice and excellent piano player. I bought the album for myself I loved the concert so much. Judith.... you have a new fan!!
Alison Marie

I just wanted to say I was at the Swansea concert last night, and had a wonderful evening. The power and the beauty of your voice are undiminished. Thank you for a wonderful evening, and please come back to us again soon.
Brian

I've always been a huge seekers fan since the early 70's and throughly enjoyed The Seekers shows but at the show at Swansea last night I was blown away! - what a show! so many styles of music, please don't leave it too long before you come back again!!!!
Kevin

Just a message to say how much I enjoyed the show at Dartford, so much so I am treating my Mum and mother in law to see you in Hull. Hope you have a great birthday. Please come back soon.
Jane

Loved the concert on Sunday and particularly loved the songs and music you have written and was completely blown away by your husband's piano playing on the Hold onto Your Dream album, particularly on "In Your Love". My favourite composition of yours is "Let Me Find Love".
Susan

I just wanted to say "Thank you very much" for the wonderful show in Glasgow.... we had a fantastic evening re-living the Sixties when my sister & I were children, and we would sing along to "Carnival is Over" etc as we travelled in the car on holiday. Your voice is tremendous, and the wide variety of songs you sang meant it was a very special evening for us all. Thank you so much. We'll enjoy listening to your new album, and wish you all the very best for the rest of the tour.
Margaret

Just got home from your concert in Glasgow and had to let you know it was fantastic.I look forward to your next tour cause I`ll be there!

First saw you in the mid sixties at the Pavilion Theatre in Torquay when I was still at school... Loved your music then and still do... Thanks for a brilliant concert last night in Derby. Hope to see you again soon.

My wife and I went to see Judith at Derby Assembly Rooms, and I would like to say how much we enjoyed the Concert. It was nice to see you looking so well, the Derby people really had a very good night.....good luck with the remainder of the tour.
Derek and Avril

I was given a Fathers Day present to see Judith in Derby last week, and was lucky enough to be on the front row!!!! I never expected I would enjoy the concert as much as I did.....Judith is a'One Off' a true great, and genuine person. We all loved her in the Sixties and the same is still true today. A trully magical, irreplaceable voice and the most sincere person on the planet.
John

Just a note to say what a great night we had at your recent concert at the St George's Hall Bradford.... terrific performance... we enjoyed it so much... thankyou for sharing your beautiful voice with us. You sang like an angel - God bless you.
John and Elaine

We had a wonderful evening on Wednesday when we came to see you in Cambridge. Although my wife, Louise, and I were only born in the mid sixties, we have grown up loving your songs and brought my parents to the concert, which they enjoyed enormously, my father, particularly, having been a fan since the time of The Seekers' first records. Thank you for a marvellous two hours!
David

I went to your concert last night at City Hall, Sheffield..... Your performance was a totally uplifting experience and we thank you for it from the bottom of our hearts..... That melange of melody, hymn, jazz, gospel and soul was magical. And the fact that it was all combined by that Heavenly, God-given, bell like quality of your still beautiful voice was such a bonus.... Thank you so much for an evening, not of nostalgia but of joy and love. May your Diamond tour be repeated again and again to an ever increasing audience. I haven't stopped playing your CD since we got home. Thank you.
Gerry

Please accept my gratitude for a wonderful evening in concert at Sheffield. .....your singing and our love for you filled the City Hall three times over..... Brilliant!!! It means we have had the pleasure of wonderful artists such as yourself for decades. Thank you from my heart.
Joy

Just a quick word to say how much I loved the Judith Durham concert in Sunderland.....it was truly fantastic...Judith Durham is still the nicest and most loved singer in the world today.

Judith was fantastic in Bournemouth last evening! Looking forward to seeing her again in Salisbury.
Colin & Patricia

My friend & I saw Judith at Bournemouth Pavilion last night and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Her voice is amazing and the lyrics very moving. The jazz & ragtime were brilliant and my friend, who was not sure if he would enjoy the show, said he could listen to this all night long! This is just to say a big thank you from us for a memorable evening.
Sylvie

Just a HUGE thank you to Judith for last night's Gala performance at the Royal Festival Hall. She is a legend in her own lifetime - A truly stunning lady in every sense of the word. Her emotive renditions of her songs performed with such clarity and power were awe-inspiring and never to be forgotten. She gives you the ability to believe anything is possible.
